Bellin Run Celebrates 50 Years and STAR 98 Bringing the Energy All Weekend

The Bellin is celebrating its 50th anniversary and Star98 will be out along the route cheering runners with upbeat music and high energy encouragement to keep everyone moving to the finish line!

Friday Events Kick Off the Celebration

The festivities begin on Friday, June 12 at Astor Park with a lineup of inspiring and family-friendly events:

Back to the Road Crew One-Mile Walk – 4:00 PM

Join the community in cheering on participants who have faced recovery and rehabilitation as they complete a one-mile course (two laps around Astor Park). This special event celebrates perseverance and how far these individuals have come.

Triumph Mile – 5:00 PM

The TRIUMPH Mile is a one-mile walk/run designed for individuals with disabilities who partner with able-bodied athletes. This team-based event provides a meaningful and empowering endurance experience.

Children’s Run – 6:00 PM

A fun, non-competitive half-mile run around Astor Park where every child is a winner. All participants receive an official Bellin Run shirt, a finisher’s award, and a special gift.
Day-of registration: $20

Start times:

Ages 4 & under: 6:00 PM
Ages 5–6: 6:15 PM
Ages 7–8: 6:30 PM
Ages 9–10: 6:45 PM

Saturday, June 13th: Race Day

The main event takes place Saturday, with the Bellin Run starting at 8:00 AM in front of Bellin Hospital. Runners and walkers alike will take on the iconic course as part of this milestone 50th year.
