Britney Spears’ representative has pushed back against claims that the singer behaved dangerously during a recent dinner outing in Sherman Oaks, California.
The response came after accounts circulated alleging that Spears acted erratically inside Blue Dog Tavern, including claims that she was barking and walking around with a knife. Her representative said the incident was misunderstood and exaggerated.
According to the explanation from Spears’ team, the singer was telling a story about her dog barking while she was eating. The knife, they said, was being used to cut her hamburger and was not part of any threatening behavior.
The clarification comes as Spears continues to face close public attention around her personal life, years after the end of her conservatorship. Her team has often criticized the way everyday moments involving the singer are interpreted and repeated publicly.
No official report of a threat or injury has been confirmed in connection with the restaurant outing.
