Fly A Kite Fest

Fantastic kites will color the sky for our 7th annual Fly A Kite Fest. Join us for a fun, free day full of kites, and activities. Families with children of all ages can bring blankets, chairs, and sun umbrellas for this relaxing day. All proceeds from t-shirt, raffle, and concession sales will support healthy children and families through programming at Family & Childcare Resources of Northeast Wisconsin.

Thousands of children benefit from the programs at Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W. every year. They offer parenting support classes, workshops for childcare providers, referrals to childcare services, and more. Events like Fly A Kite Fest mean that the families can use many of these resources for free.

Fly A Kite Fest will have a variety of family-friendly activities, including giant show kites, stunt kite demonstrations, games, crafts, activities, and more. The event will be held on Saturday, June 29, from 10 am – 4 pm at the Arnie Wolff Sports Complex, 3240 Humboldt Rd.

Volunteers are an essential part of Fly A Kite Fest. They help us set up the event, greet guests, lead activities, run games, paint faces, direct parking, and more. Volunteers will receive a free Fly A Kite Fest t-shirt, and volunteers who stay for 4 hours or longer will receive a free lunch at the concession stand. If you are interested in volunteering for Fly A Kite Fest, you can email: outreach@fcrnew.org, call 920-432-8899 or sign up at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/2742155/false#/invitation. More event information is available at http://fcrnew.org.

Whether you volunteer, play the games, or just enjoy the show, Fly A Kite Fest will be a sight to see.
